Saving Our Children Campaign Week Update

Saving Our Children Update – 2

We have some exciting news in this week’s Saving Our Children Update – Issue 2.

The Saving Our Children Update – 2, Big News of the Week

On Friday we published the first article in a series called Searching for Leadership. The theme is simply, why is this problem been growing exponentially for the past 40 years? The first article calls on the people who should be leading our business community to solve one of the biggest problems our business community faces.

Did you know that drug and substance abuse costs every man, woman, and child about $10,000 per year? Family of four, you got it, $40,000 per year. Why do you think our country is over $30 trillion in debt? If you want a breakdown of this number, let us know.

Next week’s article will expose our federal elected officials to a little daylight. Hint: Don’t can’t count on them to solve the problem.

No Idle Hands Here

We sent out a number of fund-raising letters to influential Californians, people I know, Governor Newsom, the Kaiser Foundation, California Families Project, CA Dept of Health and Human Services, Karen Bass, the Mayor of Los Angeles, and two out-of-state organizations, the North Dakota Rural Health Information, and finally the Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams.

I watched a news interview with Eric where he was talking about the 140 or so illegal pot shops that for some reason, the City of New York can’t shut down. He was almost in tears as he talked about the school kids getting high before they go to school in the morning. I thought the least I could do was to show him how to fix it.

Can the Saving Our Children Campaign really fix this problem? As my friends in Minnesota say, “You betcha.”

7,000 of my closest friends.

I also sent out announcements to 7,000 of my closest friends, relatives, business associates, and everyone else whom I have had an email exchange with over the past 20 years. Turns out there were thousands of them. Maybe you got one too.

If you think we can make a difference, invite your friends to join us. Some exciting things are going to happen!

Finally, Facebook

We finally finalized the Facebook Page. This is only a temporary page. Our LLC is now official. Saving Our Children, LLC was just approved on Friday. We are awaiting the Federal Tax Id then, it’s off to the races.

I finalized the Sponsor Package brochure describing all the benefits that sponsorship brings to our supporters. The printed versions arrived today. If you would like one or a PDF, let me know.

We completed the Sponsorship Agreement/Application.
