You Can Make a Difference

You Can Make A Difference

You Can Make a Difference in Protecting Our Children

There has never been a more urgent need to protect our children from the ravages of drugs. Why? Because 62% of high school students view drug use as being “cool,” and nearly half of them do not understand the dangers of drugs like methamphetamine, opioids, heroin, or ecstasy.

The Saving Our Children Campaign would like to join with you to make a difference and allow children to live their best lives by helping them understand the life-altering consequences of drug use. Help them understand the difference between the false notion of “cool” and the deadly truth about drugs.

To that end, we are delighted to introduce you to the new book, Eric’s Song. It is a powerful new hardcover that demonstrates the devastating impact drugs can have on young people and their families. By sharing Eric’s Song with your students and their families, you provide a resource that informs and empowers them to recognize the real dangers of drug use. Eric’s Song equips them with valuable insights and promotes open conversations.

But there’s an additional dimension: For every Eric’s Song Hardcover purchased through your efforts, you can select a beneficiary of a financial reward. This initiative empowers parents and children with knowledge about how drugs affect families while providing additional funding for the charity of your choice (or you).

As people united by a purpose, we can make an immediate and tangible difference in the lives of so many youngsters and their families. together, we can make a difference for them with the knowledge, resilience, and wisdom they need to live successful and purposeful lives.

Why We Have to Win this Fight

Teachers Make All the Difference

If you are a teacher, you need to understand that in a class of 25 students, as many as 14 students will have tried alcohol, approximately 8 students might have experimented with tobacco, and about 10 students could have used marijuana. Additionally, 3 students could have misused prescription drugs, and 4 students would have experimented with illicit drugs. Based on national statistics, These figures offer critical insight into students’ experiences with drugs and other substances, underscoring the need to better educate them about the dangers of drugs.

In 2019, approximately 21.6 million people aged 12 and older in the United States had a substance use disorder related to illicit drugs.

Why Eric’s Song Can Make a Difference

We know that it is harder to change a mind than it is to sway someone without an opinion. This story convinces young people that they should stay away from drugs. When the time comes to choose, they will understand the consequences and be much less likely to use it. A recent study showed that 81% of high school students said that a good message could convince them to stay away from drugs, and as we know, a good story has the potential to sway opinions and help people connect with ideas.
