Our Mission

Saving Our Children Campaign a case for cause advertising

At the Saving Our Children Campaign, our mission is to save the lives of young people and the adults they become by reducing Adolescent Drug and Substance Abuse.

The Saving Our Children Campaign is a multi-media campaign designed to present a positive and life-affirming message to young people. Using effective techniques, we deliver non-judgmental experiences that will save the lives of many children and the adults they will become.

DRUG AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE

There are several factors that can contribute to the increase in the number of deaths related to drug and substance abuse among children. Here are some possible explanations:

  1. Availability of drugs: The availability of drugs has increased over the years, making it easier for children to access them. The rise in online drug sales has also contributed to the availability of drugs.
  2. Prescription drug abuse: Prescription drug abuse is also a contributing factor. Children may have access to prescription drugs in their homes or through friends and family and may abuse them without realizing the dangers.
  3. The increased potency of drugs: The potency of drugs has increased over time, which can lead to more overdose deaths. For example, synthetic opioids like fentanyl are much more potent than other opioids and are increasingly being mixed with other drugs, making them even more dangerous.
  4. Mental health issues: Many children who use drugs and substances have underlying mental health issues, such as anxiety or depression, and may use drugs to self-medicate.
  5. Lack of education and prevention programs: Children may not fully understand the dangers of drug and substance abuse, and prevention programs may not reach all communities.
  6. Stigma and shame: The stigma and shame associated with drug and substance abuse may prevent children and families from seeking help until it is too late.

Overall, it is likely that a combination of these factors is contributing to the increase in the number of deaths related to drug and substance abuse among children. Addressing these factors through education, prevention, and access to treatment and support may help reduce the number of deaths in the future.

Every year, far too many children die or ruin their lives because of drugs or substance abuse. We can make a difference.

WHAT CAN WE DO?

Help them know why vaping, smoking, drinking, and using drugs are dangerous. Our methodology is proven to be effective in reducing drug use in children. One of our Oregon campaigns reduced heroin-related deaths by over 50% in just one year.
