Unedited Review 1:

Really powerful. I am so glad the story ended well 🥲

You asked for feedback so here it is almost all positive, but very specific:
1. It is straightforward and still captivating. I wasn’t sure until the end how it would end.
2. I appreciated that it chronicled multiple attempts at recovery ❤️‍🩹 including being excluded by everyone he knew.
3. It wasn’t particularly spiritual but left the door open for God.
4. Written at a level and cadence preteens can fully understand.
5. Concerns such as girls, sports, friends, school, parents, and cars that preteen boys in particular relate to.

Basically, it does everything you had in mind for it to do.

That said, I’m not a preteen boy lol but it made me think about choices I make as well.
It also gave me insight to signs I may see in others and not to dismiss them.

Thank you for sharing. May God bless this story, the readers, and the teller🙏🏻

I am a nationally known criminologist, a former police officer and developer of the Stun Gun. I also developed and marketed what’s known as Dye Witness. Needless to say the last 40 years I’ve dedicated much of my life to crime prevention.

After reading Tom Monson’s, Eric’s Song, I believe that this book in the hands of every parent and teen child would give a deep and great perspective on how to understand and relate to and prevent drug addiction.

Eric’s Song helps us to understand how and why our children are falling victim to drug addiction. As a parent of 4, I wish I had the tools and the understanding that Eric’s Song gave me. This is the most powerful read on drug addiction I have ever experienced.
